Here at The Ink Spot, we're happy to offer both male and female piercers, both experts in the field.
All piercings above the waist are $40, those below $80. And if you're brave enough to get two in a sitting, the second one is half-price!
(Please note: Due to the high cost of the jewelry for Microdermals, these piercings are $60)
Whether you're piercing your bellybutton, nipple, eyebrow or ear, etc. even if you're doing a surface piercing like the back of your neck, you'll know that you're in good hands with us. Every client gets an expert piercing done with a single-use, sterile needle and the highest-quality body jewelry!

The best new development in body piercing in a great many years, Microdermals are very small, specially made titanium anchors. They sit just under the skin, with just a metal disk or tiny jewel showing.

Microdermals (also called transdermals and dermal anchors) are less painful than normal piercings and faster-healing than most standard piercings. You can place them almost anywhere on the body. Even in places where a surface piercing is likely to reject, these microdermal piercings heal beautifully!
Genital piercing can seem frightening, but done properly, it's also the single most rewarding piercing experience possible. Trust is vital.
Fortunately, The Ink Spot has the South Island's single most experienced genital piercer. From anatomy and choice and placement to proper aftercare, you'll know you're safe with us!
The two most popular genital piercings for women are the vertical clitoral hood (VCH) and horizontal clitoral hood (HCH).
The vertical hood piercing (shown) gives extra friction along the shaft of the clitoris, amplifying the effects of arousal. The horizontal hood piercing, usually done with a ring, gives less stimulation to the shaft but makes up for this when the tip of the clitoris bumps against the ball of the ring.
While these two are the most popular, we here at The Ink Spot also do a full range of women's piercings, including inner and outer labia and tricky, anatomy-dependent piercings like the Christina.
For men, the two most popular genital piercings are that old classic, the Prince Albert, and the Frenum.
Called a 'dressing ring' in Victorian times, the Prince Albert is the grandaddy of all genital piercings. The story goes that the prince's craving for ultra-tight trousers led him to put a ring through the end of his penis so that he could button it against the leg of his pants.
In modern times, men wear the ring for the added stimulation inside the urethra. Younger guys might want to be careful with this one: sometimes their partners complain it makes them a little too 'quick'.
On the other hand, the Frenum is a barbell placed on the underside of the shaft of the penis. The pressure against the urethra provides extra stimulation for the guy, and the presence of the barbell gives a pleasant 'ribbed' effect for his partner!
And as with women, these two piercings are the most popular but by no means the end of the range. We do it all, from mild to wild!
